Data overview

Current records in this browser.

Start small, then keep it current

Your portal data stays in this browser until you export it. For a first setup, create one project, add one to-do, log one real session or run, and export one backup.

Preview with demo data

Use Data > Load demo data to see a filled example first. It replaces the current portal state, so export before using it if you already have real work saved.

Capture fast from anywhere

Use Quick Capture in the top bar when you want to log a work session, run, finding, idea, blocker, or to-do without switching tabs first.

Find and reopen quickly

Use Open Search to jump back to saved projects, runs, context notes, reviews, and to-dos without manually browsing each tab.

What Goes Where

Use the smallest useful note in the tab that matches the type of information.

1

Dashboard

Use it for a quick snapshot of active work, today's to-dos, recent activity, and what needs attention first.

2

Projects

Create the main record for each project and use its workspace as the hub for linked runs, work logs, context notes, health metrics, and the project timeline.

3

Project Context

Store findings, ideas, and blockers that should stay attached to a project instead of getting lost in general notes or chat threads.

4

Work Log

Capture a session in three lines: objective, outcome, and next step. This is the fastest way to preserve momentum and reconstruct what actually happened.

5

Runs & Analyses

Record tools, inputs, parameters, outputs, and status whenever reproducibility matters, then use the built-in comparison panel to review two runs side by side.

6

Reviews, Search, and Data

Use Weekly Review to close the week, Open Search to reopen anything quickly, and Data to export, import, reset local records, or load demo data.

Recommended Routine

A lightweight workflow that keeps the portal useful without turning it into admin work.

1

Start with one active project

Do not try to backfill everything at once. Begin with the project you are actively working on now and add only the minimum context it needs.

2

Use Quick Capture during the day

When you finish a session or hit a blocker, capture it immediately from the top bar instead of waiting to do a full update later.

3

Separate session notes from run details

Use Work Log for what you tried and learned. Use Runs & Analyses for tools, parameters, inputs, outputs, and status.

4

Review the project timeline

Open the project workspace when you need the full story. The timeline combines work logs, runs, findings, ideas, blockers, and linked reviews in one feed.

5

Compare runs before deciding

When two runs differ, use the comparison panel in Runs & Analyses to review inputs, parameters, outputs, summary, and next step side by side.

6

Export at meaningful checkpoints

Export before clearing browser data, switching devices, using a private profile, or after major updates you would not want to lose.
